Vision:
Learning must change for students to critically think, communicate, collaborate, and create meaningful, concept-based learning experiences to support lifelong learning. I firmly believe that all students can learn and desire to succeed. My commitment to student achievement evokes passion for engaging in the continuous improvement process with all stakeholders in my learning community. Students must be prepared to participate as global leaders within their school and local community. Teachers, administrators, and parents have a great responsibility to equip students with fundamental 21st-Century skills. Such vital skills will determine the leadership roles they play in our future communities. All students shall be taught to increase their awareness about the world & themselves, accept their responsibilities, and remain honest in all communication and expressions.
As an instructional leader, I accept the challenges articulated in the ISLLC Standards for my learning community and strive to exemplify them daily in my leadership role:
- to set a widely shared vision for learning
- to develop a school culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional growth
- to ensure effective management of the organization, operation, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment
- to collaborate with faculty and community members, responding to diverse community interests and needs, and mobilizing community resources
- to act with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical manner
- to understand, respond to, and influence the political, social, legal, and cultural contexts
